Annemarie Drvol
Poetry/Writing
"Poetry can be found everywhere in every moment: the warm breath of a child nuzzled on your neck, a knowing smile at the end of a tiresome day, dust particles lingering in sunlight shafts through a window, rainbows in a misty mountain valley.
Wherever you find the Lord, you can find poetry. His love and beauty and wisdom penetrate hearts and souls and all creation. My goal as a writer is to capture these bits of wisdom and beauty and share them with others so they might come to know the Creator and Savior I love so dearly."

Favorite/Patron Saint
My favorite saints are St. Felicity and St. Perpetua. They were both mothers and converts during the early persecution of the Church in Africa during the reign of Emperor Severus. Their well-documented witness to the Faith and courageous martyrdom inspire me to choose Jesus always and teach my children to put Him first, no matter what.
Favorite Quote
"Out of the darkness of my life, so much frustrated, I put before you the one great thing to love on earth: the Blessed Sacrament ... There you will find romance, glory, honour, fidelity, and the true way of all your loves on earth." - J.R.R. Tolkien
Fun Facts
I'm a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, but I also admire the writing of Shakespeare, Jane Austen, John T. Price, and Ted Kooser.
